Attack of Brood XIII!

This year is the year for the cicadas to come out of the ground after their 17 year growth cycle. There will be literally billions of them swarming the northern Midwest for pretty much all of June.

The AP article I read about it is pretty interesting; you should check it out. It talks about all the noise they make, and has "horror stories" from the last time a brood emerged in 2004. It's going to be pretty crazy in the areas where they come up.
